recreation:

• in maryland, marit and I spent a lot of weekends at sugarloaf mountain and on the banks of the potomac river, including the c&o canal.
• in olso we enjoy taking walks in vigelandsparken and visiting sognsvann and frognerseteren.

nature:

• norway has an abundance of beautiful fjords, mountains, forests, lakes and rivers.  the hyrdrological regime in norway is very different from the system in maryland. its amazing that you can climb a hill or mountain in norway, and find a natural lake at the top!
